Mark Yunger is a seasoned real estate investor, developer and entrepreneur. His expertise includes construction management, property management, real estate investing and finance, design and construction. With a demonstrated track record of more than a decade, Mr. Yunger has planned, developed and invested in projects comprising over 4 million square feet.
Prior to founding Bridgewater Capital Partners, native New Yorker Mr. Yunger was president and cofounder of Rosma Development in 2003 in Brooklyn, NY, where he raised over $150 million in equity and managed $1 billion in acquisitions. Mr Yunger works with start-ups and established companies, helping to develop business plans, financial projections, buy-out/succession strategies, and assisting in the execution of development projects. An analytical thinker and winning negotiator, Mr. Yunger has developed property and initiated acquisitions throughout the Tri-State New-York area as well as in Eastern Europe.
He managed winning bids for the Verizon Building, as well as the highly competitive RFP for CUNY’s student housing project in Long Island City. His main area of focus is high rise residential development in emerging and sought-after urban markets. Mr. Yunger’s network of industry relationships coupled with his vision, market knowledge and substantial in-house resources serve both his principal developments and his advisory and joint venture projects.
Mr. Chornay has over 20 years of commercial real estate financing experience. Prior to joining Bridgewater Capital Partners, he worked as managing director for a private debt and equity fund and commercial real estate owner-operator. His core strength and passion is relationship building, sourcing, origination, and underwriting. He is also extremely proficient at developing capital structure, for the acquisition and development of all types of commercial real estate projects.
Mr. Chornay also spearheaded the acquisition and financing of several large scale commercial and multi-family portfolios and several JV condominium construction projects.
Mr. Chornay has also worked as a Consultant and Internal Auditor for Banco Santander and Bank of America, and has extensive experience with distressed debt, restructuring defaulted loans, and loan workouts.
He received a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy and a Masters Degree in Political Science from Brooklyn College, CUNY.
